Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, popularly known as Phyno is one of the most exciting Nigerian singers currently. He is so popular but little is known about his origins. Everyone knows he’s from the South Eastern part of Nigeria but where precisely? This is what we will find out soon so where is Phyno from?
Phyno is a sensational Igbo rapper who came into the limelight of the Nigerian music industry in 2012 with his first album No Guts No Glory, and he was born and raised in the city of Enugu, the Enugu state capital, Nigeria.
Phyno practically grew up in Enugu and he had his education in Enugu, Nigeria. Phyno moved to Lagos in 2010 to pursue his music career since then, he has not looked back. Phyno is unique for his flawless ability to rap in Igbo language (although he does combine Nigerian Pidgin and English languages as well). This has made him stand tall in the industry irrespective of those who came before him.
Even if Phyno was born and raised in Enugu, Nigeria, it is generally believed that he is from Anambra State. This is just popular belief as the rapper has never been quizzed on where he hails from. It is only he that can tell if he hails from Enugu or Anambra. He is Igbo and proudly so.
