On a faithful day while she was selling her bread on a street in Lagos, she was captured in the background of a photo shoot by TY Bello. It was in an attempt to find Jumoke that her picture go viral on social media (Facebook & Twitter) and was used on the cover of Style magazine.

When she was discovered by TY Bello, she was first offered a modelling contract. After which she signed a deal with Stanbic, Payporte and a host of others. Although, she doesn’t speak English, she and her children has been offered an opportunity to have real formal education by a bank.

As said above, Olajumoke Orisaguna was born in 1989 in Ire, Osun State, Nigeria. What most people don’t know about Olajumoke was her upbringing and how she journeyed all her way to prominence.
Before she became a bread seller, Olajumoke was a trained hairdresser in Osun State. It was due to the condition of her family that made her become a bread seller in Lagos.
Olajumoke is married to her husband Sunday Orisaguna. According to him, he wooed her for 6 months. After they got married in 2010, they had two daughters but found it hard to cater for them. This condition made Olajumoke decide to move to Lagos.
She never knew that this would lead to a brighter future for her and her family. It was said that she even travelled with her 16 months old daughter leaving the older child with her husband, Sunday.
Olajumoke worked extra hard for about a year to make ends meet for her family with little success. She would sell her bread from 2.30 p.m in the afternoon to 11.00 p.m in the evening with a profit of N350 per day.
It was on that faithful day when selling her bread that Olajumoke was caught on camera during a photoshoot organized by the British rapper, Tinnie Tempah.

That was just the beginning as Olajumoke’s picture garnered a lot of comments and reactions that she was already a model in the minds of people before she went professional.
TY Bello then reached out to Olajumoke, and launched her modelling career. The photographer then took various shots for her.
Olajumoke’s photo appearing on the cover of the Thisday Style magazine was one of the many highlights that would later spur Olajumoke’s career as a model.
Top companies later started coming after she featured on the magazine cover. Olajumoke signed her first contract with Few modelling agency and the sky has remained her stepping stone.
In an interview with TY Bello, she recalls the event that led to how Olajumoke was discovered.
“She seemed a little confused, some people were asking her to walk past really quickly, others were asking her to stay, she was just in limbo. I said ‘is it ok to take your photograph?’ And she nodded ok.”
Olajumoke job as a model made her husband and 5 year old daughter relocate to Lagos. Olajumoke is currently undergoing proper education on Communication, Etiquette, social graces and grooming. Also her kids have since been given free scholarship and accommodation.

Olajumoke had this say,
“I cannot leave my husband. He too cannot leave me because we love each other. My marriage will remain intact by God’s grace. And God will also help me to continue to be level-headed.”
Here’s what Sunday, her husband said,
“I am not afraid because when we had nothing, she was always there. If I said I needed this, she would give me. I am not afraid. If she is rich today, we both own it. I trust her for that. She has been a very good wife. I believe she will continue to be good.”
