List of Tribes That Make Up The Nigerian State

Nigeria is home to so many peoples and cultures and these peoples and cultures were amalgamated in 1914 to live as one indivisible entity. The country presently is blessed with 184 million inhabitants which make up the various tribes that ultimately constitute a sovereign state.

There are over 500 ethnic groups in Nigeria, among which three are the chief tribes in which others fall under and these three major tribes in the country are in no particular order, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.
