Gionee Marathon M5 Review and Specifications

Gionee Marathon M5 Review

The fight among Android phone manufacturers in Nigeria as to who will provide the best cheap Android smart phone in terms of battery life has just gotten more interesting. In our previous review on Android phones, we did a review of Tecno L5 that has a 5000mAH battery and could last 2-3 days and can serve as a power bank.

This time, we shall carefully review the latest Android phone in Nigeria, Gionee M5 that boast a battery capacity of 6020mAH non removable batter.

Gionee claims that the battery of the Gionee M5 can last for 62 hours non-stop which I can say is over-whelming considering the fact that in Nigeria we don’t have a steady power supply to charge phones.

With the On-the-go cable included in the Gionee M5, this Android phone also have the capability to charge other phones super fast which is a welcome development.

Let’s now face other features of the Gionee M5. The display is a 5.5 HD AMOLED display coupled with a Gorilla glass 3. It has a 13MP back facing auto-focus camera that can capture pictures with unbeatable frames. IT also has a 5MP front facing camera for regular selfies.

Gionee M5 run Android L with Amigo 3.1 which is the latest version in the Android family. Included in this device is a 3GB RAM which runs applications smoothly without lag and with ease. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quadcore MediaTek MT6735 processor with an internal memory of 32GB expandable to 128 GB via micro SD.
