Nice writeup.. But I advice that more accurate research be done before Publishing any writeup. And this is regarding to dentists.
Dentists are specialized medical doctors too and are classed together with other medical doctors (They are also trained in general medicine too plus dental surgery. They are surgeons (dental surgeons) and that is why they are paid same salary and undergo postgraduate training too to become consultants. They all belong to the Same association and licensing body as other physicians. Excep that they are the only specialists who begin from undergraduate to specialize in dental surgery.
Hence they are also called House officers not interns. Perhaps you may be referring to other dental paramedicals like dental therapists, dental technologists etc. Please get your facts straight. Dentists are not second to doctors, they are doctors (specialists).
You’re welcome bro. I don’t know why they just can’t understand that..
We’re being underated seriously
Dentists and Physicians are on the same level (Doctors), have same licensing body (MDCN), have same association (NMA), have same salary scale (CONMESS) whereas other health workers are paid under CONHESS, Physicians and Dentists undergo similar undergraduate training in general medicine (mbbs exams), undergo residency to become consultants (MDCAN)… Dentists training is also called Housemanship not internship. By the way, the paradental interns are not called dentists but dental therapists, dental technologists etc…
Can Other paramedical like dental technology and dental therapy convert to become full dental surgeon?
Yes its very possible
Nice info mainly for Young folks who are interested in the program like myself.
Can a person who just graduated from the medical school perform surgery even without further studies as a consultant?
