Biography of Di’ja.
This is the Biography of Hadiza Blell, most popularly known by her stage name, Di’ja, the slim, beautiful singer signed on to Mavin records. Di’ja was born to a Sierra Leonean father and a Nigerian mother from Kaduna State, Nigeria on August 14 but the precise year of Di’ja’s birth is relatively unknown. Di’ja is a singer, visual artist, humanitarian, fashion designer, performer and songwriter.
Di’Ja has a double degree in Biology and Psychology which she earned at a really young age and she has lived in Sierra Leone, Nigeria, the United States and Canada.
Di’ja Music Career
On completing her studies, Di’ja found passion in music, art and philosophy. Di’ja ventured into music in 2008, the same year she won best new artiste at The Beats Music Awards. In 2009, Di’ja released her first single titled “Rock Steady”. Di’ja’s first single was nominated for the Best Urban/R&B Single at the 2009 Canadian Radio Music Awards.
In 2012, Di’ja released several singles including “Dan’Iska (Rudebwoy)”, ‘Hold On (Ba Damuwa)”, and “How Can We Be Friends”. In 2012, Di’ja came into the limelight when Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records announced her signing on Valentine’s day, February 14, 2015 and quickly, Di’ja got to work by releasing a single titled “Yaro” which got performed reasonably well in the Nigerian airwaves. Di’ja performed with other Supreme Mavin Dynasty stars such as Don Jazzy, Dr SID, Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks and D’Prince to cook up the hit track “Dorobucci” in 2013 that got all Nigerians dancing. Dorobucci helped get Di’ja out there and she was received warmly by many Nigerians as a really talented singer. Ever since then, Di’ja’s most famous works include “Awww” (2014) and Take Kiss (2016).
Di’ja is happily married and her marriage is blessed with a child.
