10 Things The Bible Forbids That Is Considered Normal To Humans

The Bible is the word of God and is regarded as the world’s most widely read books and an authority when it comes to beliefs, morality and inspiration.

However, on a daily basis, many Christians still commit sin upon sin which the Bible forbids and we take it as normal due to the acceptance of this sins in the modern world.

Nigerian Infopedia takes a look at 10 of these things that the bible forbids that seem common to we humans:

1. Consulting Seers or Native Doctors

The Bible says in Leviticus 19:31

“I am the Lord your God, Regard them not that have familiar spirits, and don’t seek after wizards, and defiled.”

2. Ladies Wearing Sexy Clothes

This is prevalent among the Ladies as we see them wearing all sorts of sexual wears, littered on the streets and even used to spice up the entertainment industry. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 2:9

“I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety.”


3. Masturbating

Although the Bible did not mention “Masturbation” as a word. It warned against the sin of the body.

1 Corinthians 6:18 says:

“Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.”

4. Watching Pornographic Content

The Bible according to Matthew 5:28 says:

“But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

5. Tattooing The Skin

Many have argued that it is right to crest tattoo on their skins as it is fashionable and adds swag to the skin. But the Bible is in sharp contrast to that. The Bible in Leviticus 19:28 says:

“Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you. I am the LORD.”

6. Remarrying After Divorce

People often forget that marriage in itself is not an easy union and so rush into it without knowing the basics. At the end, these set of people, rush out of marriage and divorce themselves. The Bible is so strict on marriage because it is a covenant sworn before God. The Bible in Mark 10:11–12 says

“Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.”

7. Gossip

Mostly common among women but recently done among men. The Bible in Leviticus 19:16 says concerning gossiping:

“Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor; I am the LORD.”

8. Gay Practice

We all know what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. The United States Of America, recently legalized gay marriage and is trying to pressurize other states to do same. The Bible is against such practice. Leviticus 18:22 says:

9. Premarital Sex

The western world is mostly guilty of this and this trend has been infiltrated into the African setting that condom should be used to wage pregnacy. The Bible was clear on this subject that premarital sex should be avoided but singles take it as a yardstick for a stronger relationship.

10. Spilling Sp***m on the Ground

According to Genesis 38:9

“And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.”

    The sin of was that he was willing to sleep with his brother’s wife but never wanted to sire a son for him because he knew that according to jewish law at the time, the child would belong to his brother. However, the law is ancient now.
    Spilling one’s sperm as a form of birth control when you are doing so with your lawfully wedded wife is NOT a sin.

  5. My dear you are really blessed!! The lethal issue with this dispensation is that, it is a sinful generation where wrong is their rights,instead of calling a spade by its’ name, they modernise it to suit their sinful heart desires!!!!!
